Galva Arts Council

"BUILDING A HOME FOR THE ARTS IN THE HEART OF GALVA"

For thirty years...

The Galva Arts Council has been dedicated to bringing people together to promote and participate in the arts.  A network of volunteers bring a passion for sharing talents with the local community and sponsoring events.

The Arts Council Center, located at 128 Exchange Street, provides the people of Galva, IL and surrounding communities a place to enjoy a variety of visual and performing arts.  The Center is home to many activities throughout the year: monthly Coffeehouses, seasonal luncheons, arts & crafts workshops, yoga classes and more.

March 13 - Coffeehouse Series with Exorna (Date Change)
For over a decade, Exorna has been leaving people with smiles on their faces, playing music that is authentic and down to earth, singing songs loaded with humor and sentimentality, fiddling tunes Irish dancers can dance to, and doing it all on traditional instruments. Victor McMullen, Forrest Harris and Wiebe Ophorst are keeping alive a truly vanishing art form, and have practiced their craft at pubs, festivals, wakes, public television, and everywhere in between!
